History
Senator Windows was established in Wexford in 1985. Founded by Noel McSweeney and Des Corrigan the company has grown in size and stature since then. In 2006 Senator Windows was acquired by the Gowan Group and now operates as a separate division within The Gowan Group.
he Gowan Group is a family-owned holding company controlling many successfully trading companies. Founded in 1969 by the late Con Smith, the group is closely associated with motor distribution through its distribution of Peugeot, Citroen and Honda in Ireland. The group also distributes a number of other blue chip brand names in Ireland including Franke, Neff, Indesit, Aga, Falcon, Nordmende among others.
The group also maintains a significant portfolio of Equity investments as well as a separate Property Division.
